The changes to the membership structure of IRgA are moving ahead! Please take a moment to consider your company’s membership situation.
Among the changes:
1) Memberships will now run on the calendar year, from January 1 to December 31.
2) The “Basic” membership level, which is unpaid, will be eliminated beginning January 1, 2016. All current Basic members are being asked to upgrade to one of the three paid levels, Bronze ($25), Silver ($75), or Gold ($250).
3) Invoices to all current paid members, except those who joined in the last 30 days, went out earlier this week via email. These invoices were calculated to provided a full year of membership in 2016. Thus, if your firm paid dues sometime in the past 11 months, the appropriate amount was subtracted from your invoice to account for the time still left in your current membership.
4) An email, with a link to the membership form, was sent yesterday to all Basic level members, asking them to upgrade.
Why Are These Things Important?
IRgA members will enjoy a major new benefit starting in 2016: We will be promoting our members’ services to the AEC community. This campaign will be intended to help our members land new customers, and/or sell more services to existing customers.
While all of the pieces of this promotional plan have not been determined, it will primarily be focused on reaching out to members of various AEC associations, such as the AIA, ABC, and others. The outreach will promote the value of reprographics services in general, and the services of IRgA members specifically.
Consequently, being a member in 2016 will be more valuable than ever! Your listing on the IRgA online member directory will be a vital link to potential new customers.
If you received an invoice or an email inviting you to upgrade your membership, please take action today. We will begin removing non-renewed members from the directory in February. If you did not receive an email or otherwise have questions, please write to Managing Director Ed Avis, ed.avis@irga.com.
