Brandon Daugherty, general manager at APDSP member firm Integrity One Technologies in Indianapolis, wanted to get into vinyl printing but didn’t want to invest in the equipment.
“On a pretty routine basis we get requests for vinyl signage, and we didn’t really have the capability here to do it,” Daugherty says. “So I would occasionally send the work out to a local sign shop, but they charged a lot.”
Then Daugherty read about the APDSP member benefit that provides wholesale vinyl printing from printtrader.com, operated by fellow APDSP member firm Printastic. The company offers APDSP members a $50 credit on their first offer, so Daugherty gave it a try.
“We found the site was easy to use, and there’s no capital investment,” Daugherty says. “The quality is great and there’s a quick turnaround.”
Daugherty liked the service so much that he now tells his sales staff to accept all vinyl printing jobs.
“This really allows us to be very competitive in vinyl and get some of that signage without having to invest in anything. It allows us to say yes to more customers,” he says. “It’s probably the single best benefit I’ve found since we joined. It will more than make up our cost for being part of the group next year.”
