Looking for more speed in your production printing? The KIP 800 Series LED printers, which print monochrome and color, are now 25 percent more productive in monochrome output, thanks to some technology updates. The printers went from a top speed of 8 black D-size prints per minute to 10 D-size prints per minute.
“A lot of reprographics shops are still transitioning to higher volumes of color printing,” says Tim Horn, KIP’s vice president of sales. “Customers are still running approximately 70 percent of their prints in black and white, so this added speed in the 800 series printing technology boosts their productivity significantly while providing full color production when needed.”
Horn notes that the KIP 800 Series print systems engage the black color station independent of the CMY color stations in the single-pass black mode for consistent high quality production speed regardless of the level of coverage of the image. “With the KIP 800 series customers will get 3,600 square feet per hour in black & white and 2,880 square feet per hour in color regardless of coverage.”
Another improvement in the 800 series is the addition of Adaptive Power Technology, which means the auto-voltage regulator that was part of the original 800 series printers is no longer required. This saves customers about $1000 and reduces installation time, Horn says.
“From the perspective of the reprographics firm, the KIP 800 series offers significant competitive benefits,” Horn says. “Market leading low cost of operation, consistent productivity, excellent print quality with the highest image durability that is waterproof and lightfast.”
